About

A lifelong law enforcement professional with 22 years of experience serving the citizens of Fredericksburg. I am running for Sheriff with a vision of building trust through community engagement and accountability. I will promote a culture of compassion and collaboration which are the foundation of a safe, united, and thriving community.

Leadership

22 years of proven leadership at the Fredericksburg Police Department where I have led multiple divisions to include a domestic violence unit, tactical team and internal affairs. Currently the division commander of the detective division.

Community

Currently serving as the Law Enforcement United, Team Fredericksburg - Team Captain. I am the President of the Greater Rappahannock NOBLE and the co-chair of Kappa Foundation of Fredericksburg.

Education

Graduate of Averett University with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology. Currently working on my Masters in Public Administration at Liberty University. I also graduated from the Professional Executives Leadership School (PELS) from the University of Richmond.

Certifications include: DCJS Certified General Instructor, Firearms Instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor, FLETC Drug Interdiction Instructor, FBI certified Police Sniper, Rappel Master Instructor, Fair and Impartial Policing Instructor, Instructor for the Virginia Chiefs of Police Association, De-escalation Instructor, and Domestic Violence Investigations Instructor. 

Family

I have been married for 12 years and have three beautiful kids and four amazing grandchildren. I was raised in a military family where my father served our country for 23 years in the United States Army. I am a local, graduating from Massaponax High School in 2000.
